There have been some serious advancements this year, as more and more automakers are adding hybrid or electric models to their lineups. There’s a lot to be excited about, but these are some of the models buyers are most looking forward to driving.

1. Volvo EX30

Volvo’s compact electric vehicle is finally being released in the United States. The company has labeled it a small sports utility vehicle. This four-door car is all-electric and a great daily driver option. It’s exceptionally stylish and looks like a luxury vehicle. These should be popular on the road this year.

2. Nissan Rogue

Nissan has been putting the Rogue on the road for years. The 2024 model has a brand-new look, however, including an updated grill and remodeled taillights. Drivers can enjoy Google Maps, Google Play, and an updated 12-inch touchscreen display to synch with their smartphones.

3. Subaru WRX TR

The TR trim is a new option for the iconic Subaru WRX. A turbocharged 2.4-cylinder engine produces over 270 horsepower and 250 pounds of torque. This sedan is fast, and it looks like it. It’s equipped with a rear spoiler and vent hood, and the all-wheel drive is ready for anything 2024 has to throw at it.

4. Toyota Land Cruiser

Toyota has revived the Land Cruiser, and this model’s turbocharged 4-cylinder engine provides over 300 horsepower. Drivers can take this baby down any rough road due to its 8-inch clearance and 31-degree approach angle. Take the trails with all the comfort of the elegant interior Toyota put in the Land Cruisers of previous years. Look for these rugged off-roaders at the dealerships in early 2024.

5. Lexus GX

Lexus finally caved and gave the GX a much-needed facelift for 2024. The new design is much sleeker than the previous models. The powerful twin-turbo V6 engine produces 340 horsepower with a locking rear differential. Everything in the interior is what you would expect from a Lexus. The new SUV is a luxury vehicle capable of climbing the toughest terrains.

6. Hyundai Santa Fe

Hyundai turned some heads when they pulled up in this re-designed sports utility vehicle. It looks more like a Range Rover than a less expensive Hyundai. Buyers can choose between a hybrid model or a traditional model. Traditional models have a turbocharged engine with over 270 horsepower. Plus, you get the standard Hyundai safety and warranty they’re famous for.

7. Ford Ranger Raptor

The mid-size Ford Ranger is finally getting the Raptor trim that its big brothers, the Bronco and F-150, got in the past. This feature-packed pickup has over 400 horsepower and 430 pounds of torque. Both are high numbers for a truck of its size. The new trim makes this Ranger look like a new model and might sway some buyers from the other brands.

8. Toyota Tacoma Hybrid

The Tacoma has long been the king of mid-size truck options, and Toyota did not disappoint in 2024. The biggest upgrade to the Tacoma is their new hybrid option this year. Toyota also dropped the V6 engine in favor of a turbocharged inline 4-cylinder. Both engines are said to be super-efficient. The hybrid model pushes out 327 horsepower and 465 pounds of torque and will be standard in the higher trim models.

9. Chevrolet Silverado EV

Following in the footsteps of the Ford F-150 Lightning, GM released their electric option in 2024. The truck will have a 400-mile range on a single charge and can also charge vehicle to vehicle. Chevy didn’t mess around with the powertrain, either. If you opt for the higher trim options, you won’t miss the gas engine when you feel the 664 horsepower.

10. RAM 1500 Ramcharger

Every manufacturer seems to be putting out a hybrid truck in the coming years. Dodge is the next maker to get a hybrid truck on the road. While the wheels are powered by electric batteries, the truck still has a V6 to charge the battery. One of the main features is that the 1500 has a 690-mile range on a full charge and a full tank. It will also stay with the pack as it produces over 650 horsepower, keeping the traditional power of a standard truck of the past.

The epitome of classy sports utility vehicles continues to impress in 2024. Cadillac is on a quest for an all-electric fleet by 2030, and the Escalade leads the way with a 450-mile range and 750 horsepower. Drivers also get all the luxury of a traditional Cadillac. The 3-row seating will keep you and your cargo floating on air as you drive past the gas stations on your next road trip.

Jeep is taking its time with electric vehicle options for its iconic Wrangler. For now, buyers can check out the new Recon model. Jeep may be looking to counter the new Ford Bronco. This is the perfect vehicle for your next camping trip or your daily driver.
