Rumors are that it could be corrupting the hard drive -- but that's just an early rumor. If you can believe it, I haven't picked up my copy yet, but I'm hoping it doesn't kill my (currently functional) console. And yes, if you're getting 3 red rings, your warranty will go for up to 3 years.
