playstation 3 production line photos surface

From the “glimmer of hope” file, photos have surfaced on the web today from what appears to be the Sony Playstation 3’s assembly line:

Check out the massive box. And I thought my Xbox 360 box was big!

Here’s another shot of PS3 getting boxed up:

Hopefully this is a good sign that actual PS3 are being completed for shipment this fall, and that the hardware is truly in final form.

P.S.: I saw a comment from a Digg user that I thought was very appropriate though: “Actually, those pics are of the entire stock of PS3’s that Japan is getting.”
