OK, My hinge snapped off, and I need it replaced, and a case mod sounds cool, this would fix that right? It looks like it replaces everything so I think I am going to buy one soon! LMAO cheaper than the 100 dollar repair from nintendo :P

  3. technabob says:

It’s not 100% clear to me (no pun intended) if the case includes new hinges. I would think that it does, but you might need to check with the manufacturer, just to be sure.

My DS Lite is starting to exhibit the dreaded hinge cracks too, so I can sympathize.

  4. andrew says:

i hate the clear case yes your asking to much info. anyways trust it will shock im the one that help test them out because they did not want to send it out before a superstr played so i played i did not get to go out the whole week because it shocked more than five times but if u like go ahead and get it

  9. technabob says:

From what I’ve heard, it’s not easy, so unless you’re very comfortable assembling and disassembling small electronic parts, you might want to skip it.

  10. zach says:

my hinge broke and my top screen turned yellowish on my ds. i think i would just get the ds lite.

  11. unown says:

the case looks nice, but it may not fit right, or so i have heard

  12. Bethany says:

Wow! This looks neat! The only thing is….I just don’t know if I would trust someone because I WOULD have to send it to some place I’ve basicly never heard of, and still trust them to work on my DS and get it back in the mail and to my home safely. Whoever first posted this article: would you happen to have a website or contact e-mail address of the people who do this kind of thing, so I could contact them by e-mail?

    Thanks!

    -Bethany

  16. Bethany says:

Well…I guess it’s not really a “casing”, it’s an actual DS, right? or am I wrong?
