“Sir, these lights keep blinking out of sequence, what should we do?”
“Get them to blink in sequence.” - William Shatner, Airplane II, the Sequel
One of the premier makers of clean and elegant iPod accessories, Griffin Technologies, has decided to lose their minds and release a totally frivolous disco-inspired case for Apple’s ubiquitous media player.

Sure, the Disko case features a hard polycarbonate shell to protect your 5G or 5.5G video iPod, but the real action of the Disko is in the series of colored LEDs that activate when the player is picked up. When you move your ‘pod, motion sensors in the case start one of five blinking light sequences. This is clearly not a case for iPod purists, but if tacky is your thing, you can’t get better than this.
It’s available in either white or black variants, and priced at $29.99 USD.
