At this week’s CEATEC show in Japan, Toshiba showed off their TDP-ET20 front projector which is capable of projecting a 100-inch diagonal picture from about 4 feet away from the screen, or a 60-inch diagonal picture from just 2 feet away.

The DLP-based projector is ideal for small rooms with limited space. Being touted as an all-in-one “instant theater,” it features a built-in DVD player and speakers that provide simulated Dolby 5.1 surround sound. It even features the acclaimed Teranex HQV video processing chipset for image scaling and deinterlacing. While not a true HD capable system at just 854×480 resolution, it should be more than sufficient for small home theater and living room installations.
