retro handset goes bluetooth

While I’ve seen plenty of retro handsets for mobile phones, this is the first one that I’ve seen which features wireless Bluetooth connectivity.

ThinkGeek’s exclusive new retro handset provides wireless connectivity to any Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. It has a 30-foot range, and is rechargeable via a USB connection. A nifty blue LED indicates the current function mode (I’m not sure what that means, though.) It’s just $39.99 and available now.

That’s cool. I guess you’ve just gotta go with the old saying “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” (or you could just sue ‘em.)
Just received mine. It is really, really low quality, which is a same. A dirty shame – since it’s so uber geeky and uber geeky in my favorite flavor – retro.
My friends say they can’t understand a word I’m saying. Just for kicks, I called my answering machine and now I can hear what they’re talking about. Just left a message with Thinkgeek’s customer service using the handset. We’ll see if they can decipher the muffled message enough to call me back.
