microsoft brings back the blue screen of death

Not that your screen really needs saving these days, but some cruel jokers over at Microsoft TechNet have released the Blue Screen of Death Screen Saver for those of you with a sadistic streak.

The screen saver accurately emulates the dreaded OS hard crash that Windows is (in)famous for. It even displays accurate configuration information from your system to fool all but the most astute eye, and displays differently depending on the OS version you have installed. Perfect for that annoying coworker, or for a sentimental memory of a kinder, gentler time, you can download it for free here.

but will it run on my Mac?
Thats cool man!.Thank you very much!.
Um, this was a joke screen saver from a company called Winternals. Winternals had a site with freeware apps called sysinternals that this was posted on.
Microsoft bought (and ruined) Winternals a while back. It was just recently integrated into the Microsoft site. Don’t believe me go to http://www.sysinternals.com and watch it change to Microsoft.com
That sucks. Guess it’s better than the battery catching on fire though.
Yeah its nice, Too bad my laptop has the real one. Identical to this one. Pisses me off…
is there anything i can do about this????
i got the same blue screen. I will appreciate if anyone can tell me how to solve this problem by sending me a email to my email address luckyman6655@yahoo.com.
Tony: This is probably not the best place to ask for a solution. This article was about a FAKE Blue Screen of Death. You might want to Google the error message you’re getting instead.
yea to bad my one has one for real and i restarted it it bould not boot and stay like that any sugestions plz????? i really need help withi it.
Often this problem is related to hardware incompatibility level as described by admin and it starts irritating just after you install or start using a new hardware on your computer, yes it may not start on installation and then irritates you when you use it….
So try to make a list of most recently added hardwares and try to get the relation between the start of problem and installation or use of a new hardware or software.
This the first step of troubleshooting and remember, Formating and reloading the OS must not be your first and frequent troubleshooting tool as it resets your system but doesn’t terminate the problem, thus the problem may still annoy you if you again try those hardwares or softwares, think if you run a business pc and you badly need a hardware or a software for business purpose, then does it solve your problem by just formatting and reloading?????
When you get the root of problem then search on the internet for the devicename or the software name plus your operating system with proper versions in a single string (eg. “cdspace 5.0 windows xp problem”). You would probably find correct software patches or solutions online free of cost.
