The portable device etches a nasty series of spiral patterns into any CD or DVD, rendering the data unreadable. Simply plug the device into your USB drive, and you’ll be giving new meaning to “ripping a CD” in minutes. No release date or pricing has been announced yet.

That looks like an dumb invention.Why not cut the disc with a ordinary scissor two times and you got four parts who never ever cant be read again.Cheap and effective!.
Putting it in the microwave is good, too. And it’s more fun.
