While it’s way too soon to know what kind of post-launch issues Playstation 3 users will encounter, a video has surfaced of a new PS3 console which has died a tragic death.
Apparently these guys were playing Tony Hawk’s Project 8 for about 3 hours when the console died. The console now will only display a flashing red light (ala Xbox 360’s red ring of doom) and refuses to start back up now. Glad to know Sony has done their part in keeping up with the Joneses.
Hopefully this isn’t an indication things to come.

Well, I’ve had my PS3 since November, and so far no indication that it even gets warm. On the other hand, I can fry an egg on my 360.

Stu: It’s not a lie. I’ve had my PS3 since launch, and It’s now September 2007, and it’s NEVER locked up on me once. In the same time, I’ve been through two Xbox 360s in the same time period.

I love how after a few broken consoles bloggers slam a whole company for its products. This is why there are warranties.
Ya’ll need to cool down LOL

modemlooper is right. Don’t just slam a company for one problem. Problems come free in life so you need to get along with them sooner or later. My 360 has never overheated or showed a sign though and I have had it since launch. Now this is funny it shows some people who mess up their consoles go and slam down on Microsoft saying your product sucks. If they learned to take care of there product they could keep it all healthy
