the flying wii controller

There are all kinds of stories starting to surface on the web about how the Wii-mote is flying out of people’s hands and breaking various things. Apparently the wrist strap isn’t really designed for significant stress. Well someone caught the “flying Wii-mote” on video…
I just cringed when I heard the sound of that controller hitting the wall. Personally, I’d never be so rough on my gear, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we start to hear about kids getting beaned by Wii-motes when they’re being too aggressive with them. Let the law suits begin.

I’m not sure a child is going to have the strength that you get from that guy… and anybody who’s throwing that thing that hard is an idiot, completely deserving of anything they get.
People really should be more careful with their gear though. I completely agree. And always use the wrist strap.
Well I guess that’s one good thing about my PS3. The controllers are so lightweight that they probably wouldn’t do any harm if you threw them.
