linutop: another tiny linux pc

If you think that smaller is better, you might want to check out this wee (not wii) PC for your desktop.

Linutop Linux Micro PC

The Linutop is a compact, disk-less workstation which runs an embedded Linux OS on its AMD Geode CPU. The system features 512MB of ROM, 256MB of RAM, USB and Ethernet ports as well as VGA and audio in/out ports. The whole package weight in at just over half a pound, and measures just 1.1″(h) x 5.9″(w) x 3.7″(d).

A variety of useful software comes pre-installed, including a word processor, PDF reader, instant messenger, web browser and a media player. While the machine certainly won’t take the place of a full-fledged PC, it’s a nice idea in situations where you simply need to deal with web browsing and simple office tasks.
