I tend to agree with Nintendo on this one. I've been playing my nice, sleek, entertaining Wii system for some time now, and I've had no trouble at all.

I got one of those sets of skins for my Wiimotes so that I could tell the difference between one and another. That set of skins came with a colored strap for the wiimotes. I'm using those for a little while because they're pretty, but I don't honestly think anybody in my house will be breaking a perfectly good wrist strap any time soon.

Nintendo should focus more on inviting indy game developers and less on appeasing "the sky is falling" internet propagandists such as wiihaveaproblem.com and the like. There will ALWAYS be some idiot that'll break something. Sometimes they have to accept responsibility for their own stupidity.
