Ricoh 500se Camera Encodes Gps Data on Photos

A while back, I wrote about Sony’s add-on GPS dongle that lets you geotag digital photographs with the location where the were taken. Ricoh has now jumped onto the bandwagon, with a camera that can accept GPS data via a wireless connection.
The 8-megapixel Ricoh 500SE is designed from the ground up for adventurers. First off, it’s got a nice waterproof, rugged case to protects your camera from the elements. Second, it can track where you took your photos by recording position data from a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connected GPS device. It’s also got a bunch of other nice features like image blur reduction, and video capture capabilities. If you’re the outdoorsy type, it’s definitely worth a look.
