One correction: in the article about the KLH Model 11, the photo is of the KLH Model 11W, the W standing for either “wood” or “walnut”, which was the oiled finish. The original Model 11 was indeed a portable, built into a plastic that, when you snapped the detachable speakers onto the sides of the base, looked like a suitcase. I hope you can find photos of the portable version. It was such a hit, and sold for $199.95, that KLH made the “home” version, for the same price, whish is the photo you have.
