car horns get just that much more annoying

Horntones MP3 HornRemember those old car horns that played “La Cucuracha” over and over again? A California auto accessories maker hopes to bring back that awful fad in a new, even more irritating way. Let me introduce you to Horntones, a device that lets you play MP3 or WAV files of your choice through your car horn.

Yes, you heard me right. Pretty soon, you’ll be driving along and instead of a nice little beep or honk, you’ll be subjected to the favorite song of the driver behind you. If the car behind you blasting “Fergilicious” at you isn’t enough to inspire a serious case of road rage, I don’t know what is.

For those of you with no human decency, you can pick up one of these for about $150 when they debut later this year. And no, I’m not gonna make it easy for you to purchase one by providing a link to the manufacturer’s website.
