If those disco or chrome cases for your Apple iPod are a bit too garish for your taste, check out these wooden cases from Japan.

The cases are made by wooden toymaker Asuka Koubou, out of three different shades of natural woods. They do look rather delicate, so I’m not sure how practical they are for protecting your iPod though. They’re available in both 30GB and 60/80GB video iPod models and cost

Wow, I find these a bit garish. Using traditional materials with hi-tech products can be very stylish on the one hand, but I’m not sure I like the idea of putting a cell phone or an mp3 player in a case at all.
