Okay, neat. Why not take the alarm output signal and relay that signal to a transmitter that will train/contain your dog? Did someone already have intellectual property on this idea?

Sounds like a great opportunity for a hack to get the ideal combination of easy installation and configurable fence boundary.

ANyone have any background on this?

I don't think so. The antenna needed for GPS would probably be way to big to conceal that way.

Is there a gps chip that can be placed under the dogs skin? The collar is the first thing someone will remove if they have stolen your pet.

The RoamEO system retails for $499, including the tracker and one GPS collar. Additional collars are $159 each.

What a great idea to allow dogs to roam large areas without supervision.

But I seem to have missed the description that explained the warning alarm that goes off when the unsupervised dogs are chewing the arm off of a 5 year old kid at the playground. There is usually a story once a month about pit bull, mastiff, etc. attacks. And then the owner will say, "but he is really a good dog".
