Kikkerland Battery EaterHere’s a gadget that doesn’t really serve a useful purpose, but somehow still seems like a good idea.

Just when you though that AA-battery was on its final last breath, why not give it one last sendoff.

Place your dying AA-batteries in the mouth of the magnetic Battery Eater, and he’ll chomp down on it until there’s no juice left in it. Made from an exposed circuit board with bent wire hair, his LED eyeballs will blink until every last bit of power is gone. The best touch: the capacitor for a nose - that’s priceless.

Designer David Dear created the Battery Eater for Kikkerland, and they can be found online from ShiptheWeb for just $6.95 each.

…It’s Things Thursday: Magnetic Battery Eater?…

This Battery Eater might not do much, but it sure does look good while getting every last drop of juice out of your AAs. Just put your battery in the magnetic mouth, and the LED eyes blink away the remaining power.
