That does look neat. I wish that Apple actually cared about the rest of us though

I’m a happy Verizon Wireless customer, and it’ll be a cold day in hell before I switch to the only wireless carrier who illegally shares customer information and private phone calls with the government

I also don’t like the fact that despite Apple’s calls for an end to DRM, the iPhone is still defective by design.

It looks like a super neat device, but Apple didn’t seem to care to accommodate Verizon Wireless customers, and they still want to restrict my behavior. I’m glad you like it though

Actually it’s a common misconception that you get a full 8Gb worth of data to a drive. The file system takes quite a bit of data. Also that 8Gb if you look on the iPhone page there is a superscript number 1 beside it which states this:

1GB = 1 billion bytes; actual formatted capacity less

This is a miscalculation as 1Gb is actually 1.024 billion bytes in real world. So actually you have less space any way due to the way that hard drive manufacturers refuse to use real byte sizes (8 bits to a byte).

You’re not being ripped off by Apple but by the HDD manufacturers.
