The problem with the Casio GLX5600 (I have one of those) is that it does not handle complex tides well. Only very simple tides like the east and west coast. For the gulf coast/Caribbean it's useless as a tide watch, but looks cool and seems very sturdy. I just got a cheap used Lodown for use here on the gulf coast. I hope it doesn't break!

I have this watch and when I surfed with it for the first time in Fiji, I looked at my watch and water seeped in so it stopped working. When I got back, I called Nixon and let them know what happened and they replaced it. I used that one for a year and a half and just today when I went surfing, water seeped in again and it stopped working. This is no doubt a great tide watch but I wish it lasted a little bit longer. I am now looking into getting a more durable watch like the Casio G Shock GLX5600. I hope that last more than a year and a half.
