Musician Releases Album on an NES Cartridge

Electronic musician Alex Mauer composes music from the electronic beats and blips of the original sound chips found in classic video game systems.

So it’s only appropriate that he’d release an album that plays on the classic Nintendo NES gaming system. His album, entitled VEGAVOX ships on a cartridge the plugs into the console.

The cartridge is available from Alex’s website for just $22 (including shipping,) so if you’ve got an old NES console lying around, it’s a definite must own.

  1. I didn’t know people would ever be into those goofy old bloop-bloop sounding things. I should have kept my old 8 bit soundblaster card, I guess we could have made some money?
