It looks like the glass isn't darkened - it's actually the fact that there is a black dial under the electroplated crystal. I think the black dial mixed with the faded electroplating makes the glass look dark. In any case, I let my buddy wear it for a few minutes and as he had it on, just across the table, the watch looks friggen' cool. I am thouroughly impressed and hope they come out with some other versions. ET4554, I bought one too.
