Designer Richard Lawson has created the oh-so-simple LED lights that clip on the top of an ordinary 9-volt battery.

Richard Lawson 9-Volt LED Lamp

Originally designed for a Mathmos-sponsored design competition, they’re now available for you to purchase for the first tim. Each little light starts out white, but glows in either blue or white when you turn it on.

Available for a limited time from Charles & Marie, they’re $25 each.
