One two years ago and I was so impressed wikth it that when it came time to by another I didnt even look at other brands. Unless you buy top of the line Sony you won't find a better picture in my book. This is the best chip of its kind, and would make for an awesome looking picture when lower res content is viewed ( which is still predominant). Anyone has further info on this? SCEPTRE's LCD backlights are rated at 50,000 hours though, so that would give you over 15 years of viewing if you watched TV for 8 hours every day. That's more than enough for most people.
