abstract led wall art casts a colorful glow

Electronic artist blinkybug has created this series of wall art pieces that use a set of loosely arranged LEDs to form some cool abstract works of art.

The artist places LEDs and circuitry behind a translucent canvas to create a constantly-evolving display of abstract colored light. Both of the images displayed here are from the same exact piece.

Each one is handmade and measures in at 9 1/2″ by 7 1/2″ (framed) while the display area measures 5 1/2″ by 3 1/2″. Since LEDs consume very little power, these can run on a single 9-volt battery for days on end.
They’re really unique compared to typical wall art. At $100 each, they’re also quite reasonably priced for original art. If you’d like to pick one of these up for your wall, you can find them over on Etsy.
