I put one of these on my sons ds lite a couple of months ago. The screen did short out intially but I just opened it up again and reseated it properly (flatwire seemed to be my problem) and that seemed to sort it out.

But 10-15 minutes? Maybe if you have done it 100 times! Give yourself a couple of hours, follow the instructions from the NDS website and make sure you have the right tools. No techie skills required, just common sense and patience.

Sorry to hear that you had problems with this. That's a bummer about the chrome causing shorts. I would think the manufacturer would have thought of that possibility and put some sort of non-conductive interior in the case.

okay i wish these people would actually buy a product use it then review it but whatever. I actually have one of these and heres the deal. its great looks fancy but theres complications first the chrome shorts the screen, the headphone jack and possibly other things. to fix this i applied masking tape to the inside chrome panel that goes to the screen and applied white out to the entire bottom chrome piece. also when you put your ds back together consider that the power switch is really cheap and breaks really easliy. best of luck to anyone trying this.
