I finally got one too and it is a letdown. The orange in the photos is not what you get and the time cannot be read when the watch is on your hand. Fossil said that how these negative display watches are, all dim. they said the pictures were altered to show better online. Well that's great, but I bought the watch because of the picture, and I have to pay to send it back even though they admitted the pictures have been altered to contrast the time.

i love the watch. its been really great so far. this is my second one and i must say they just get better. i love the fact that the crown is located on the inside of the timepiece for time adjustments, and its super comfortable on my wrist. his clasps are always easy to use too. it does get alot of attention as well..since i put it on, i got comments..you just have to remember to treat it like a fine timepiece because the daily abuse can really devalue the overall finish.

What a disappointment. Too bad because I also was waiting for this to come out. Sounds like a poor design overall and a real stinker of a product. Not typical of Fossil at all. I would not have expected that.

Yea the photos make it look sweet.
I also have the O-Ring Digi watch. It too is hard to read in low light, but the clear series is hard to read in both low, and direct light. Im much more happy with the O-Ring watch. It has a much larger face, and is heavier. Much nicer looking.
I strongly belive thta purchacers of the clear sieries will be disapointed.

Ordered the Crystal Clear Sieries PH1101
As the above poster said It is small, and will get scratched easily. You can see the scuff marks when you tilt it to the light new right out of the box. However the thing that bothers me the most is, while wearing this watch it is extremely hard to read the display even in direct sunlight. It is not an atractive watch. It is definatly different in person than seen in the photos. It just looks cheap. I am sending mine back for refund.
Its too bad because I was really looking forward to this watch.

Steven-- regarding the Ph1098 model:
The red face of the watch is about 1 3/16 inches across and 1 inch vertically. There are is a metal strip above the red face and one below it-- from strip to strip it is 1 3/8 inches. The band at its widest points (the ends nearest the face) are also about 1 3/16 inches across and it narrows down to an inch closer to the clasp/buckle. It is a nice size, but it is not as big or bulky as some of the watches on the market right now. Also, it is super lightweight. One unfortunate thing about this watch is that the face is plastic and will inevitably get scratched, as most watch faces have a tendency to do, but I think this particular watch will be especially prone to scratches. Please let me know if you need any clarification on anything from the above description.
I'm sure other Fossil locations have it in stock. If you call the downtown disney location, they may be able to tell you which stores have it in your area. I'm just glad that someone finally has it-- I've been searching for one for my boyfriend since May.

I'm glad to hear they are available somewhere. Can you tell me about the size of the watch? I like the look but I like big watches. Thanks.

The Fossil store in Downtown Disney Anaheim has the Ph1098 model in stock-- I bought one this morning. They also have the model that has a white band and clear face-- I think it is the Ph 1099. Hope this helps.

Well I spoke to soon. I was on the Fossil site last night and the watches could be added to my shopping bag, now it says item out of stock again. They either made an error or the stock they had on hand sold out right away. Interesting indeed.
