d-battery lamp laughs in the face of complexity
This delightfully minimal lighting fixture is the latest creation from Sam and Jude, the creative minds behind SUCK UK. The Little Lamp is literally just a lampshade strapped to an LED light source, strapped to a D-Cell battery.
While the whole concept is a wee bit reminiscent of Richard Lawson’s minimal 9-Volt LED lamps, it’s different enough that I’ll give Sam and Jude a break. I especially like the pull-chain switch. It’s a nice little touch that makes it just a little more like a regular table lamp.
