o mighty isis, this is one tough puzzle
Let me start by saying this — the glorious ISIS puzzle was designed with one mission in mind — to be the most difficult puzzle ever made. Handmade in England using aluminum alloy, the puzzle not only is insanely challenging, it looks really, really cool sitting on your table.
Each spherical puzzle has a set of movable bands, covered with hieroglyphic images. You’ll need to decipher a set of 10 encrypted clues in order to figure out the correct sequence for the glyphs. Since each puzzle is unique, you’ll need to register online to reveal the specific set of clues for your ISIS. If you manage to crack the puzzle, you’ll get access to the maker’s “Award Zone”, which gives you a chance to win some actual cash prizes and gifts. But finishing the puzzle is probably reward enough.
The ISIS comes in both a monochromatic silver/black finish and purple/gold version that reminds me more of New Orleans at Mardi Gras than ancient Egypt. They measure about 2.75″ in diameter, and weigh in at about a pound, so they’re definitely substantial. At $199 each, they’re not inexpensive. But if you have a serious puzzle fanatic on your holiday shopping list, this really is something special.

Rack your brains over the ISIS puzzle…

opened it in about 2 hours registered and am working on the next clue. really obtuse.

Two hours? I am in awe. I’ve been reading that some people are taking weeks and months to solve it. Good job!
Wow. i saw this thing at sharper image. i want one sooo bad. Two hundred bucks for something that could very well be solved in two hours? idont know…..
in the puzzles defense i also am a amature magician / locksmith. and love puzzles.
working out the clues the next day took more time.
its a nice piece of machining and a nice puzzle
the second part after you open it is a little confussing and the clues are obtuse and that is going to take some time

I just got an Isis and have a question concerning craftsmanship…
The center ring turns very easily while the upper and lower rings take considerable force. So much so that after 30 minutes or so of fiddling, my hands are quite sore.
Do the rings on your Isis’s all turn with relatively the same ease?
Also, at the top of the stationary band just below the first movable ring (assuming the button to be the top), there is a slight outward dimple that appears to be a manufacturing mistake.
Should I attempt to exchange my Isis for a new one? (Can I?)
Don, I would stick with being an Amateur Magician and Locksmith. It is apparent that your grammar and punctuation are not your best traits.
As far as solving the puzzle in two hours… I am not much of a believer, especially since this is the internet and I could say the same without anyone knowing the truth.
I am a Psychologist, Sociologist, and a volunteer Firefighter…. not to mention I unlocked the ISIS in 30 minutes…. See what I mean =)
A bit pretentious I know, but I feel we all will agree that you understand the significance… Well hopefully.
THE ISIS I RECIEVED WAS MADE IN CHINA AND IT STILL COSTS $200 DID I GET RIPPED OFF BY SHARPER IMAGE??
Dunno. Maybe Sharper Image is starting to have them mass produced. Does it still look the same?

Just a quesion about isis, are the rings just fake and just pretty on this isis, cuz inside there is not any moveble parts to connect to the rings only a magnet witch keep main bearing “lockt” when u relase that and “drop” that in “labyrint” u nearly there:) But question is are those pretty rings just fake??
