LOL! I love narrow minded speculation. The irony of this is that around 2 weeks ago, MSN.com had a huge write up about hour Wal-Mart was single handedly destroying the economy by doing things like this. After all, what other retailer could possibly afford to drop their already existing inventory to compete with this? The idea is, Microsoft happens to be the major promoters and developers of the HD DVD technology. Therefore, this is not an attempt to sell us movies we already have because only a complete dolt would buy the same movie in a different format. No, this is a cold blooded and as we will see, completely effective attempt to snuff out Blu-Ray technology. Don't believe me? Rewind back cirque 1980 and the VHS/ BETAMAX wars. Betamax superior technology but way too expensive. Blu-Ray superior technology but way too expensive. Think about it.

Of course they are flooding the market. They don't need your money on the player. They want to sell you the movies that you already own on DVD, once again. The movie industry is unable to make new good movies, so they must resell you the old stuff.
