These ceiling mounted speakers from Holosonic Research precisely direct a beam of sound so it can only be heard if you’re standing directly inside the focused area they project.
Their square Audio Spotlight speakers easily mount in place of standard 2′ x 2′ ceiling tiles and project a perfectly focused tunnel of sound towards the people standing beneath them. Step into the beam, and you’ll be able to hear the sound. Step out, and you won’t hear a thing. Designed for applications such as in-store marketing and exhibit design, they’d also be pretty cool mounted in an entryway or hallway.

The first use that I thought of was mounting one in a sonic gun that played the brown noise (as in the sound that makes people poo themselves, not as in the signal noise produced by Brownian motion). You could point it at people, pull the trigger, and bam! Brown pants!

very interesting i was wondering if we could use something like this or similar in clubs and bars in order to avoid the noise in the areas around these locations?????
Hi, I just want to inform you that there is a growing community that are indeed victims of crimes involving projected sound. I am one, and I have recordings and networking to other victims. The recordings are available at http://www.youtube.com/rhyspaulhovey. It is very sick, and this issue points to some major crime, most likely government organized crime. The FBI will simply let your children die at this point. Please help, and learn about these crimes and projected ultrasound.
