LEGO Guitar Hero Controller Rocks
December 21st, 2007
When I came across this Guitar Hero controller made out of LEGO blocks, I was impressed. But once I found out it was fully-functional, I was blown away.
Built by LEGO fanatic David McNeely (aka Blue Star LEGOs), this is the third in his series of working Guitar Hero controllers.
Modeled after a Fender Geddy Lee Jazz four-string Bass guitar, the controller uses the electronic guts of a standard GH guitar, placed delicately inside of a LEGO body.
Every part of the controller works just like the original, including the fret buttons, strum bar, whammy bar and control buttons.
Now all David needs to do is build a complete Rock Band LEGO edition. You can check out more photos of David’s impressive creations over in this Flickr collection.

Guitar Hero (geetar heero): For people who can’t play guitar.
LOVE IT! SO CUTE! :D
Man, how heavy would that be!!! 5 kgs???
its a bass.
now that is a great guitar to smash to the ground rocker style ;)
“Guitar Hero (geetar heero): For people who can’t play guitar.” – Liet
Call of Duty – For people who can’t shoot people.
Microsoft Flight Simulator – For idiots who can’t fly a plane
Your argument is invalid – try posting again.
Guitar hero—guitars are easy to buy and simple to learn
Call of Duty–guns are hard to buy(laws) and shooting people is normally shunned in society
Microsoft Flight Sim-planes are expensive to buy, or rent…flight training and certification is costly
P.S…..now put down the chunk of plastic and go buy a real instrument
Very nice…love the bass style. i wanna order one! let me know
Wahey, you didn’t call them ‘legos’, never ceases to annoy me.
