In between all the reports of who’s got the thinnest flat screen at this week’s CES show, it’s easy to overlook some of the hidden treasures to be uncovered at the trade show. Take, for instance, this great new wireless controller for the Nintendo Wii.

Nyko’s new Wireless Nunchuk (or Nunchuck if you’re not using the proper Nintendo nomenclature) controller lets you play games that require both the Wii-mote and Nunchuk to operate completely without the annoying cable between the controllers. The $30 wireless controller works just like the one Nintendo includes, but transmits its signal to an adapter that snaps on to the bottom of your Wii-mote.
Expect the Nyko Wireless Nunchuk to hit stores sometime later in Q1 2008.

That’s an awesome idea, and Nintendo should be ashamed of themselves for not having thought of this already!
As an adult–and not a 7-year-old kid–I find the short cord between the wiimote and nunchuck to be a constant annoyance. Either it’s getting in the way in general, or it’s too short for how I feel like using the controller. A wireless wiimote and nunchuck is just a great idea.
i like this cuz my lil brother broke the cord on our nunchuks and i really got pissed so with no cord, whats there to break???
