you guys are NOT PAYING ATTENTION, we’re talking about SUPER mario bros; not the game that it’s called just Mario Bros. The atari Mario Bros it’s the game where you see a single screen with 3 levels of pipes and you gotta hit the turtles and goombas from the lower level

now SUPER mario bros has 8 chapters with 4 levels each (in case you have never played it, which actually LOOKS LIKE cuz you don’t know the difference between the mario bros game and SUPER mario bros game)

so you’re the one who actually need someone to make the research for you rocktar, cuz you ain’t rocking at all with that kind of comments, just showing your lack of knowledge

Dude, i just bought mario bros for the atari 2600 off ebay today, it is R4 rare and cost me $10.

oh, and the gfx are way better than what is shown in this image.

(before you say it, no its not a homebrew or a port, it was manufactured by nintendo for atari with atari licenceing.)

Besides the items the author of this article states are impossibilities on the 2600, I also have to add the scrolling worlds would have been outright impossible on the 2600, even with the graphics simplified.

You have to realize the 2600 was far more simplistic, hardware wise, than you think. Virtually every 2600 took a miracle to even work.

But to be honest, playing this game would have been a dream come true on my Atari. My parents got an Atari 7800 to replace our 2600, while my friends got Nintendo. I did have an extensive Atari game selection (over 100 carts and I still own them today). Despite, I gamed a lot at the houses of various friends.

I know there was a crappy Mario Brothers game for the 2600. Show me the 2600 version of Super Mario Brothers, which is an entirely different game, and I'll eat my words.

There already is a Mario Bros. game for the Atari 2600.

Maybe you should hire some writers that would actually research the subject of their article/posting/etc.
