You and your significant other might have different tastes in music, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be close with your shmoopy. With this matching pair of MP3 players, you can listen to different tracks, but still be joined at the hip.

The interlocking Lovers MP3 players come together to form a single red heart, but can be played separately when you’re apart. And if you end up breaking things off with your partner, you still get to keep your tunes — a much better solution than cutting the iPod in half.
Just in time for Valentines’ Day to be over, you can grab the pair of 1GB media players from DealExtreme for about $39.

Um, the only thing I’m scratching my head about is the fact that this thing can “split” into 2 separate players. What does this solve? If you and your girlfriend want MP3 players, get some freekin’ iPods for god sakes. I mean, there is no screen to look at what music you really want to listen to. I mean, you could have 2 separate playlists, 1 for you 2 being together, the other for you 2 being apart for one another, and play the wrong list and you’ll be definitely be heading to that nearest Apple store.
