My most fondest memory of Nintendo was myself at five years old, playing Super Mario Brothers 3 at my grandparent's house. I was so into that game, that hours would pass by, trying to get to the new worlds, or, at least get the three whistles so I could get to my favorite world: the "giant world". It took me until a few months ago to finally beat it. Back then, I didn't understand about all the powerups, and I didn't really care. I didn't even know what the monsters were supposed to be. I just enjoyed playing, and seeing what Mario and myself could do as a team. I got caught a few times sneaking out of bed in the middle of the night, leaving the nintendo on a few hours before so I could get further in my game. I tried playing other games as well, things like Zelda, and a few others that didn't spark my imagination and interest like SMB3 and the original. There was always someplace I haven't found. It seemed to never have an end, and that's what intruiged me so much. Everytime I hear the theme music, it reminds me of those past times, not having a care in the world, and being with my grandparents. In a sense, I owe it to Nintendo for those fond memories.

My fondest Nintendo memory is playing Super Mario Bros. with my mom as a kid. I could never get past that first Goomba, so I'd always run and get my mom to do it for me. She never complained and would always help me out.

Now that my own daughter is playing Mario Party on our Wii, I hope that she has these kinds of great memories as she gets older.

My favorite Nintendo-related memory is playing anyone of the Super Mario Games on the original Nintendo or Super Nintendo. I would play them with other family members and we would always have such a good time playing them and couldn't wait to beat them. We would always refer to my sister as the princess character and she couldn't wait to rescue the princess. The Super Mario Games were so much fun that we have some of them downloaded on our computers now. I just will never forget playing those games when I was a kid with my dad, brother, and sister and eventually beating them. It made my day back then and I will remember those happier times forever.

The fondest memories are sitting in our den and playing the first Nintendo games of the early 80's with family especially when times financially were very tight. Nintendo has given us time as a family unit; bonding to daughter time; and most af all fun with entertainment and developmental eye/hand coordination with a your seven year old who came into my life when I married her father. Many Thanks,

My youngest son is so obsessd with Mario & Luigi. They are favorites to all of my kids. I have had to make homemade costumes, not for Halloween, but just for everyday. Any time he has to make up a name, for a story, or to play a video game, computer game, name a pet...the name is ALWAYS Luigi. He could spell that before he could even spell his own name.

When my brother and I were young, we didn't get to spend too much time with our dad, but when he got the nintendo, he set about playing Mario Bros all the way through, and unlocking all the hidden stuff. Even though he wasn't really spending time with us, is was nice to have him the the same place for hours and hours.
Thats my fondest nintendo memory.
Thank you so much.

I loved the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past which was played from the perspective of being above the game. It was on SNES and is the only videogame I have ever played from start to finish and fully completed. I was obsessed with this game and felt really challenged. Shortly after that, videogames went 3d and that makes me nauseous so I had to stop playing them. But I have such fond memories of this game. It was a family event to watch the game play and I remember my husband would call me from work to see what new things I had accomplished that day in the game. It's all rather silly but at the time it was the highlight of my days.

What’s that, son? Did we have video games when I was a boy? Sure we did, but I was a little older than you when they came along. Back then everybody had a Nintendo system at home, same as today. Your Uncle Tim and I played all the time. In those days there wasn’t much for kids to do, especially growing up in a small town. But playing games like Super Mario Brothers and Dragon Warrior made us feel like we were going on great adventures. Just like when you and I played Twilight Princess together last year, remember? So Nintendo is pretty important to me. It’s one of the reasons Uncle Tim and I grew up to be good friends, just like you and me. As you get older, there’ll be lots of great adventures we can take together. Time to sleep now. Good night son, I love you.

My favorite Nintendo memories are from when I was about 8 years old. My buddy Eric--who was a year younger than I was--had an 8-bit NES with that old track&field game "World Class Track Meet" (Bandai 1988) with the Power Pad, our favorite event was the long jump.

Boy did we get yelled at with all the noise we created with that thing. Then, of course, there was Double-Dragon. Gosh, Eric and I would just sit there for hours playing the games.

Now I get to share Wii with my son... once he's old enough to play in about a year or two.

My son wanting us to watch him play video games when he was little and thinking we'd be impressed. He went onto college to compete in a Guitar Hero championship and won. This came in handy when he applied for an internship and the employer asked which song was his favorite on Guitar Hero. He replied "Guitar Hero I or II" The employer replied "touche" and he got the internship and 2 college credits. Amazing. He's now in advertising.

My fondest Nintendo memory is from 2004 ,when I cosplayed as a Hispanic Princess Peach,
It was at a convention and I had many laughs and drinks with African American Princess Peach and her boyfriend African-American Mario.
I met a really tall Link cosplayer and we dated for a while and played many video games together.
Sometimes, during lovemaking, I made him keep the pointy ears on.
It was brief but it was fun.
I wonder if he ended up marrying a Zelda cosplayer?

Dude, I remember playing the original Donkey Kong arcade game at the roller rink on Friday nights. I would be standing there wearing rented roller skates with red wheels and sliding around while giving it my all. I would save my money all week and trade it in for quarters (keeping just enough for candy and pop.) My parents thought I went there to socialize :)

My fondest memory is playing Super Mario Brothers with my granddaughter. I know she loves me dearly but considers me just grandma, a nice old lady who bakes cookies. I love the look on her face when not only could I play but gave her a serious run for her money. From that day on she looks at me with love, respect and one of those "who is this white haired lady anyway??"

I suppose my fondest Nintendo memory is when I called in sick to work for a week to play and finish the Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask game. It was so worth it!

Thanks for the giveaway!
