Rock Band Drum Kit Quieted by Crochet Covers

by

Is your Rock Band drumming keeping the neighbors awake all night long? Are they ready to call the police on you? If that’s the case, look no further than these soft and cozy crocheted covers designed to quiet your percussive emissions.

Created Long Beach, CA textile artist FunkieFresh, the set of handmade covers ties around each of the game’s four drums and helps them keep them down to a dull roar. I’ve seen other solutions to this problem (like some boring adhesive foam discs), but none which were so artfully crafted.

As an added bonus, each pad is crocheted using colors that properly match the original drum hues, so if you’re used to playing by color, not drum position, you’re totally in luck.

You can pick up a full set of Rock Band drum cozies on her Etsy shop for $40.

They aren’t knit. They are crochet.

I stand corrected (and will correct the post).

I may know video games, but my expertise in the textile arts is definitely lacking.

    Thanks.

Kind of cute, but I would go with more professional pads from http://www.DrumPads4RockBand.com

Yeah, those foam ones are definitely more likely to dampen the sound without affecting gameplay, but I still like the crocheted ones for their sheer kitsch-factor.

Aw, mine are way better than those manufactured ones…I don’t see “love” included in any of those materials they use. And, yes, they are crochet. Thanks for posting them!!! FunkieFresh.Etsy.Com
