hand grenade mouse mod: don’t pull the pin!

I don’t know if I’d feel really comfortable putting my hand on this mouse, given the fact that it started its life as a device designed to blow off limbs.

Still, assuming the explosives have been thoroughly scrubbed from the innards of the old grenade casing, I suppose you’d look mighty macho controlling your computer with one of these bad boys. The guy who modded this one even went through the extra effort to wire up the trigger as the left mouse button.
It sure doesn’t look ergonomically friendly, but should you really expect comfort from a hand grenade anyway?

Note to self: Do not take mouse on plane with you.
“Note to self: Do not take mouse on plane with you.”
Haha. Reminds of of Harold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay
That’s not made from a real grenade. Look at the shell- it looks like thin plastic. Pfffft!
grenades are made from plastic…..asswipe
*the shell of a grenade is made from plastic
As I do not understand rusian, i can’t read what your link does say, but as the designer of it, I must say it’s a spanish invention, and altough it does look a bit awkward, it feels comfortable in your palm.
Right and left switches are activated like an apple mouse, by pushing down the corners about 1mm down.
The slider plastic under both buttons does indeed have some nylon plastic to make it useable and of course, it’s a wireless mouse powered by two AAA batteries.
(first apearance was in “Arnies airsoft forums” and second apearance was in Metkumods, as for backtracking purposes ^^, under the name Inventor)
2 Abraham — the link to modding.ru says just what you say: the modder is Spanish (nickname Inventor). Supposedly, the mod was done from a grenade-shaped bottle using scissors and some paint…
2Froggy – it was more like a dremel, cutter and superglue (I mean, I used a dremel to cut the plastic grenade in half…just scissors would have broken the shell.) ^^
And for the pin, in the beggining it was to be “something” but in the end, i thought it was going to give only headaches so I superglued it in place and then made the third button in the spoon.
I bet it’ll be an all time favorite at airport security before you know it
