No problem. I myself have a tiny ritual one and then a big, electrical, brass-looking traditional styled one that looks heavy and substantial and is just about a foot across. It has flame-like flickering bulbs It's funny when people go to pick it up......since it looks so much like solid metal, they almost fling it into the air when they grab it because it's only made of hollow plastic and very light.

Hit me back if you want to know some more info on how to ritually light the he hannukia and which order they're lit in, which one to use to light the others, etc.

Thanks for the details. While it might not be religiously compliant, it's still a cool decoration.

As an observant Jew, I can tell you this item does not fulfill the halachic regulations regarding an acceptable hannukia, and it IS called a hannukiah, not a menorah. A hannukiah needs to have as it's light source anything that will melt as it burns or which is already liquid (e.i. wax or oil).

However, there is nothing to say this or any other electrically powered hannukiah cannot be used as a nice decoration that can be left on throughout the holiday or safely placed in a window, which the rabbis have encouraged except during times of persecution.
