Come on please don't take the urine - I bought one of these (exactly the same but with no logo and with transparent blades) a year ago in Taiwan - the cost NTD 200 retail ie 6-7 USD. As a side note it is still cool, but I haven't worked out what to do with it, oh and it falls of the platic rod too easily because of the bearings.

The one thing that scares me about the green tech move is that for many, their motivs are entirely on profit, and because of that, they movement may be stifled on a large scale.

How come this is not worth it? According to my calculations, this thing is a bargain.

Leds: $0.10
Small electric motor: $0.50
Plastic fan and base:$0.40
Mathmos' logo printed on it: $17.00
