handheld n64 is awesome, non-ergonomic

The Nintendo Sixtyfree Lite-R: the past of gaming, futurized in handheld form. While playing this shrunken, portable N64 might be a challenge, particularly when it comes to, say, some of the console’s excellent first-person shooters, it certainly looks good.

BenHeck.com forumite SifuF cut away half the size of the original N64 and added a headphone jack to perfect this handheld design. Cartridges slip elegantly into the back of this compact console. It’s so small, however, that there’s no room for internal batteries; when you want to play, you’ve got rely on external power. The sacrifices we make for size.

I guess it’s pretty on the inside, if you’re into that sort of thing. Here’s the Nintendo Sixtyfree Lite-R without its clothes on:

This looks amazing. I was a massive fan of the N64 and I would love to have one of these

  2. kyle says:

nice how the hell did you get some of this stuff

  3. Mike Glass says:

2 things. As far as batteries go, couldn’t you have an external battery? like you could just wear it on your waist or something. Also, could you use just a PSP screen? I know it would distort the image a bit, but they’re SOO cheap on ebay.
