Dofference is , teh NoPoPo will power a low drain device LONGER than an alkaline because an alkaline will use too much power for a low drain device which results in wasted energy , the NoPoPo only feeds the product the amount of amp is requires.... on top of that it has an indefinite shelf life indeed , so sounds like a winner to me. Its not your urine that powers this thing, its the magnesium. The urine is just an electrolyte to allow the current to flow. Magnesium metal is not found in nature, it has to be refined using a lot of energy, which means greenhouse gases etc. If these batteries are as good as a zinc/carbon battery, they probably have the same carbon cost, only much less convenient, and much more expensive.
