…and maybe ever. What makes this particular example of Star Wars amigurumi better than, say, crochet slave Leia or an adorable Chewbacca? Buttons and fittings. Oh, not just the little shiny button eyes–those are common, and this R2D2 has his own. No, it’s the other details that make this particular crochet robot especially adorable.

Look at that retractable leg! And all the little shiny fittings! The attention to detail in this little figure is just incredible, and even more so when you think about the time that must have gone into it. Sadly, as is the case with so many amazing things that turn up on these wide Internets, no one knows just who’s responsible.

    It was me!!!! Response over this has been so overwhelmingly positive I’ve put the pattern up on etsy. I made this last year over the summer as a birthday gift for my brother.
