Sure, the iPhone looks good, but can it make a sandwich? Wash the car? Serve as instruments for an entire band? Mark that last item off the list of outrageous demands, because British band The Mentalists have managed to perform an entire song using only the power of several iPhones (and their own voices).

The song, “Kids” by MGMT, has been a favorite for people using offbeat methods to play music, so it’s little wonder it sounds pretty good in this cover version. Thank goodness for that ocarina app.

Now we’ve just got to get someone to test “Freebird” with iPhone apps so we all have something to yell at iPhone concerts.
