After 4 years of playing second-fiddle to the Nintendo DS, the Sony PSP finally has something that the DS doesn’t. A candy version. And no, this thing doesn’t count.

Check out these officially-licensed PlayStation Portable candies, loaded up inside a metal tin that looks just like a PSP. Made from such goodies as sugar, glucose, gum arabic, maltodextrin, magnesium stearate, artificial flavor, malic acid, FD&C blue #1/FD&C red #40, PSP Sours won’t play Loco Roco or GOW: Chains of Olympus, but at least they’ll make your mouth happy (or at least tinge your tongue with an unnatural color).

Choose one with a blue screen for sour blue raspberry or the red screen for sour cherry. Coming this Spring, you can pre-order a dozen for $31.99 (USD) over at Urban Collectibles. I plan on buying one so I can have a nice place to keep all my DS games.

  1. Do you think they’re sour because theres no way that the PS3 will ever be better than the XBox 360?

They do candy wii remotes don’t they? Wonder that they’ve not done them forthe DS too really when you consider all the other commercial crap nintendo kicks out!

  2. Wii says:

Hopefully this won’t encourage children to eat lots and lots of candy and become fat and have rotten teeth……Oh well too late for some.

    These look pretty neat.
