Mini Mp3 Amps Don’t Go to 11, but Will Rock the (Doll) House

by Paul Strauss

These nifty little speaker systems look just like classic electric guitar amps, only a whole lot smaller. Modeled after classic amps by musical greats Marshall and US Blues, these teensy little amps are perfect for the rocker in your house.

Measuring in between 5 and 8 inches tall, they’re perfect scale replicas of their larger brethren, and great for listening to tunes on your iPod or other portable media player. Of course if you’re more musically-inclined, you can plug in your electric guitar or bass and jam out too.

I think my favorite of the bunch has to be the ORANGE micro Crush amp, complete with its trademark bright orange wooden case, a woven cloth speaker grille and the unmistakable ORANGE logo.

All three are available over at Urban Outfitters. Prices range from $60 to $72 USD. Totally rockin’.

using a bass with that would break the amp.

This is something I would need to add to my computer. I lost about 80% of my hearing thanks to ototoxic (defined: potentially toxic to hearing/aural nerves, like aspirin, which is why they tell you not to take more than 6/day) I was hospitalized because I drunkenly wrecked my motorcycle. Yay war on (some) drugs! (see tinyurl.com/1mn for the real history behind the drug war: to replace slave labor with prison labor)

Anyway I have tons of mp3s on my computer and I regularly watch movies and dvds on it but the volume only goes so high, and sometimes max output isn’t enough.

I used to have it wired to my receiver in my entertainment center across my room, then piped back to my computer desk with a 25-foot cable which I’d then plug my earbuds into so I could sit at my desk with my headphones on and watch movies, having the sound pumped out 25 feet to my receiver amp and back and there was no noticeable delay. But I moved my entertainment center and then eventually moved it back and I’ve been too lazy to reconnect all the wires. Using one of these would be much simpler, provided it has a 1/8th stereo output jack.

  3. my uncle got stomach ulcers because he took a lot of Aspirin to take care of his high blood pressure.’~,

ulcer is quite painful and sometimes it is deadly too, my grandmother died from ulcer-:.
