Solo Wireless Signal Repeater: Can You Hear Me Now?

I don’t know why this gadget has flowers printed on it, but if it works as advertised I think it’s going to be a hit, flowers or no flowers. The Solo is a tiny digital repeater, i.e. a device that extends the reach of wireless signals with little or no degradation. The Solo currently supports CDMA, WCDMA and DMB, with support for GSM and WiMax (Wibro) and Mobile HDTV technologies in the works.

If you still don’t understand how the Solo works (I don’t), it’s basically for places with poor mobile phone or wireless internet coverage, like basements. Makers RF Window dubbed the technology behind their repeaters ICS, or Intelligent Cancellation System. It cancels interference. I hope. The flowers are driving me crazy. But the design as well as its size – 6″ x 6.3″ x 2.9″ imply that the Solo is targeted for home use. Let’s hope it’s affordable then. Check out RF Window’s website for more information on the Solo.
