LEGO Flash Drives Make Losing Your Data a Snap

You’ve probably seen EagleTec’s Nano flash drive, a gadget that redefines “Nano” in terms of gadget size. The iPod Nano’s nanoness cannot compare to the EagleTec Nano’s. What could possibly be more awesome than a tiny flash drive? A tiny LEGO flash drive, that’s what. Etsy seller Stefan offers a geekier and more stylish alternative to the EagleTec Nano, cramming 2 GB of storage in an equally nano 1×2 LEGO brick.

Awesome right? The downside is that you’ll have to pay more for this flash drive, and you get much less storage too; EagleTec’s Nano flash drives sell for $22 USD for the 4 GB and $33 USD for the 8 GB drive, whereas each handmade 2 GB LEGO nano stick costs $55 USD. Plus $10 shipping. Ouch.

But hey, it’s LEGO! Plus it comes in ten colors! But if you need a larger capacity flash drive, you can get the slightly blockier 8 GB LEGO stick, which is basically a 2×2 LEGO block.

The 8 GB LEGO flash drive sells for $90 USD (plus $10 shipping) and it comes with “two games.” We don’t know if those are flash based games or Scorched Earth and Pitfall.

Both the 2 GB and the 8 GB LEGO flash drives come with protection caps and keyring plates. And if you choose a transparent LEGO brick then Stefan will throw in an LED for free. A small consolation if you’re paying 2005 prices for a flash drive that’s prone to being misplaced. Except that these flash drives look really awesome.
