adorable girly bags and math-love are not mutually exclusive of one another

Girls love math too, despite popular culture’s continuing efforts to prove otherwise! And that doesn’t mean you can’t also be girly, ladies; the craftster contingent, thankfully, always seems to be on hand to remind us that it’s totally feminine to be geeky–these adorable math-loving bags are part of what is becoming a fine tradition.

Perfectly at home at concerts, coffee chops, and the panels of hip webcomics–and crafter Casstasstrophie, who made these bags for a swap, happily shared the method to her math-loving madness. She made the emblem in Photoshop, which means anyone who can hack out a design can personalize to their heart’s content.

As a lit geek, I find this bag both adorable and terrifying, but Ernest Hemingway’s beard, for instance, would be completely acceptable for me. I have to check out this tutorial.
